We are looking for motivated, experienced people to join our customer happiness team at The Detroit Bus Company. Our account executives are our frontline staff that interact with customers new and existing to deliver a wonderful booking experience for their charters and tours. It’s a critical role that we’ve continually updated since our launch in 2011. It’s a role here that’s high energy, highly valued and highly rewarding.
DBC account executives primarily help customers obtain private charter services and private tours to private groups, corporations, nonprofits, schools and government institutions. We are seeking people for both inside and outside sales.
Salespeople at DBC:
- Field new and existing customer requests.
- Develop new and existing markets.
- Manage updates to bookings.
- Manage CRM software.
- Manage payments and contracts.
Account Executives are partnered with and supported by a Customer Happiness Expert who tends to customers after a confirmed sale. The organization is team-driven.
Prior high volume sales experience is very useful for this role and strongly desired.
Computer skills are a must as our entire sales experience takes place within a CRM, emails and over the phone.
You do not need to have experience selling for a transportation company; actually, we prefer individuals with experience selling event-based services like wedding services and rentals.
Pay for this role is an hourly wage plus a significant commission of gross sales. Reward tiers boost pay for meeting expected goals. We have a large book of recurring business that guarantees a stable income with large growth potential for motivated and capable individuals. Account executives will also receive paid time off.
