Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How often does the bus loop?
A: The bus runs continuously during operation. It takes about 20-30 minutes to do a full loop.
Q: Does this shuttle take me to/from the island?
A: Nope! Not yet. This shuttle just loops around 5 stops on Belle Isle itself.
Q: Can I get to/from the Belle Isle Beach on the bus?
A: Absolutely! If you’ve been to the beach before you know it can get kinda cray as far as parking goes. Pro move is to park at our parking lot and take the bus over.
Q: Where do I park?
A: The official parking lot for the shuttle is the “paddock” lot to the east of the James Scott Fountain. We’ll have an attendant there to help you find a spot. You’re also welcome to get on at any of the stops, but the paddock parking is easiest!
Q: Is this really free?
A: Yep! Totally free for you. This service is paid for by the Michigan DNR to make it easier to get around the island.
Q: I have a question, how can I get help?
A: Best thing is to email [email protected] and we’ll get back to you during business hours. You can also call/text 313-444-2871 and we’ll respond as soon as we’re able.
