Meet Hyper. A Whole New Kind Of Public Transit

We’ve been waiting a long time to share this with you and the day is finally here! As you know, we’re a little obsessed with making transit an accessible, equitable resource for everyone in Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck. Parking lots, private rideshare services and electric scooters are taking over the city while public transit is mired in the slow lane of the old days. It’s time for a change. That’s why we’re getting ready to roll out our next project that we’re calling Hyper.

We founded our company in 2011 to work on transit issues in Detroit through direct action. Our solution was to just buy a bus! And then another one, and another one. We’ve grown so much since those early days but if we’re really going to make a dent in the transit problem we have to turn what we’re doing into a system. We believe in the bus. Shared transit is the best way to meet people, get an affordable ride, decrease traffic congestion, and decrease our impact on the environment.

Hyper brings you directly to your destination without long waits, transfers or confusing schedules. We’re building the very tools that will enable this revolution to happen but making 100% sure it’s accessible to everyone regardless of their access to technology. Plus, we’re enabling people to start their own Detroit Bus Company-style organizations to grow the network even stronger. We can’t do this alone.

We’ve put together a team of some of the smartest people in transit, technology and community-driven service, so get ready to get moving.

Beta tests will be starting in Spring 2019. Sign up for Early Access at the bottom of this page using the fancy blue button.

Here are some of the things that make Hyper different:

Straight to the Point

Hyper goes directly where you need to go, when you need it. Our Hyper Engine figures out the best way to connect riders in real-time during your ride. No transfers, no endless waiting.

Powered by Hustle

We’re building on what we’ve learned from starting The Detroit Bus Company to enable other people to operate their own transit companies. “Companies of One” and small fleets will help transit networks spring up in all neighborhoods.

Open To All

Sometimes using the newest technology can leave people out of services who need it most. We’re building Hyper to be accessible to all regardless of access to technology.

Open-to-All

Better Together

Hyper is designed to work alongside public transit systems in cities big and small, filling gaps in static routes. More options mean more flexibility and that makes it easier for you to skip owning a car entirely (crazy, we know!). Along with rideshare, bicycles, and walking, Hyper adds to your transit landscape.
